Arduinos are awesome learning tools. They get students interested in electronics, communications, and input/output. Really helps with learning and understanding programming. In 2011 BYU’s Technology and Engineering Education program (preparing students to become CTE teachers) was using the Basic Stamp to learn and understand robotics, but the semester before I graduated I helped develop a curriculum to switch over to the Arduino which they did in 2012.
